If you are having trouble using your ftp account with PowerOne, please follow these steps to correct some of the most common issues.
Make sure you have all the information that is required to connect to the server.
This information is usually provided by your hosting provider (click here if you need to obtain your ftp login from PowerOne).
- Host/Server (e.g. ftp.yourdomain.com)
- Username/login
- Password
If you are using Windows Explorer for your FTP program, try toggling passive FTP. This can be found by opening Internet Explorer, then under “Tools” and then “Internet Options.” Select the “Advanced” tab, and under “Browsing” check the box that says “Use Passive FTP (for firewall and DSL modem compatibility)”. If this box is already checked, and you are still having problems connecting, try un-checking the box and trying to connect again.
You can also download free FTP programs to use, such as File-Zilla or WinSCP for more advanced options.
